Occupational Health Advisor

Position: Occupational Health Advisor - In-House
Type: Full Time | Permanent 
Location: Hybrid Role - Ely (Cambridgeshire) & Remote
Salary: Cicra £50,000

About the Role: Our client, a global leader in their field, is looking for a passionate and experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join their organisation. This new, varied role is crucial in establishing the on-site occupational health service aimed at improving the health and well-being of the workforce. .

Key Responsibilities:

• Health Surveillance: Lead and conduct routine health surveillance programs including audiometry, spirometry, and HAVS.
• Case Management Referrals: Manage complex cases, provide fitness for work assessments, and develop return-to-work plans.
• Clinical Assessments: Conduct comprehensive occupational health clinics, new starter screenings, and forklift medicals.
• Health Records Management: Maintain and manage employee OH records in compliance with relevant legislation.
• Absence Management: Handle attendance management calls and return-to-work meetings.
• Health & Wellbeing Promotion: Implement initiatives and programs to enhance employee well-being and run training sessions.
• Policy Development: Development and review of occupational health policies.
• Collaboration: Work closely with employees, managers, health and safety, HR, and external healthcare providers.

What We’re Looking For:

• Essential:
  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • Diploma or degree in Occupational Health.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong clinical competence and excellent communication skills.
  • Responsive, adaptable, with good planning and organising skills.
  • Substantial OH knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation.
